Marketing your website is SO important. You can have the best, most amazing website on the Internet, but if no one sees it, it is of no use to you. SEO is not automatic when you purchase a website. It is a separate service.
When it comes to marketing / SEO for your website you have two choices. Do it yourself, or pay someone to do it for you. SEO is time consuming. It takes a lot of time to learn, and much work to do. And it must be done continually. People set up social media accounts, and then do nothing with them. People set up blogs and then do nothing with them. Do you think Google will put your website on the first page if it is obvious that you are doing nothing yourself to promote your website? Likely not.
